On December 24 CEO of JSC "The Russian mechanics" V. M. Karavayev and head of the forwarding center of the Russian geographical society A.V. Eagles have signed the agreement on scientific and technical cooperation for 2016-17.
The cooperation purpose — association of scientific, technical and industrial resources of the Russian geographical society and "The Russian mechanics" for the organization of research expeditions in the Arctic, and also providing the RGO forwarding center with the equipment adapted for operation in the Arctic conditions.
Head of the forwarding center of the Russian geographical society A.V. Eagles I have declared at a press conference: "We are very glad to cooperation with JSC "The Russian mechanics"! Experience in studying of the Arctic at us big, is even more ideas. Therefore interaction with the enterprise which lets out the equipment adapted for work in severe Arctic conditions is extremely important for us".
At a press conference there were a world renowned Russian traveler Fedor Konyukhov, representatives of the Russian geographical society and mass media. Polar explorers became the most interested participants of a meeting. They should work at snowmobiles of "The Russian mechanics" therefore the asked questions concerned technical features of snowmobiles.
Answering questions, V. M. Karavayev has told that the equipment has sustained long high-altitude expeditions: "In 1974 the first legendary snowmobile "SNOW-STORM" became the irreplaceable assistant at the research station "North Pole-22" drifting in ices of the Arctic. In 2010 research expedition with assistance of the Russian geographical society has taken place. Its extent has made more than 12 000 kilometers. Snowmobiles have well proved during the expeditions and tests which were carried out in severe climatic conditions.
