At the end in Kiruna ministerial meeting - members of the Arctic Council summed up the results of two years of the Swedish presidency of the organization. The title of chairman moved to Canada. Knud Rasmussen was born to a pastor, and his mother was half-Inuit origin. The family had three children. Rasmussen told from childhood in Greenlandic. At age 12, he was sent to Denmark to study, and in 1895 his father was transferred to Lynge (Zealand), and the family moved to Denmark. From 1898 to 1900 he studied Rasmussen in Copenhagen, then worked as a reporter for several newspapers and made the trip to Lapland.
